In 2007, the European Commission will start Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations with Ukraine within the framework of the Enhanced Agreement between the EU and Ukraine. In order to assess the impact of the possible FTA, the Commission has issued an EU-Ukraine Trade Sustainability Impact Assessment (Trade SIA) to be carried out.

An international consortium of ECORYS Netherlands BV and CASE Ukraine, lead by ECORYS Nederland BV, has been appointed to do this EU-Ukraine Trade SIA. The purpose of the Trade SIA is to assess the economic, social and environmental impacts of the possible agreement to all aspects of sustainable development in the European Union area and in Ukraine.

All reports published as part of this Trade SIA study can be downloaded from Phases.
